Lyme Disease in Dogs: Causes, Symptoms, and Supplement Support

Lyme disease in dogs is an unfortunate yet common

occurrence. Lyme disease is especially common in

dogs that are able to roam large areas such as a

farm, or that may live close to a wooded area

where ticks are often found. In spite of the use

of tick and flea collars, sometimes dogs are

still susceptible to a tick bite.

The most common carrier of Lyme disease is the

hard-shelled “Deer Tick.” The tick will normally

feed over an 18 hour period before the dog is

infected. Common symptoms of Lyme disease in

dogs are as follows:

-Obvious joint stiffness -An unusual arch in

their back -Fever -A lack of appetite and

depressed or lethargic behavior -Noticeably

swollen lymphoid glands

Some of the more serious (but rare) symptoms

involve labored breathing, kidney problems, and

heart problems.

Some of the most painful symptoms dogs will

experience are joint swelling and joint pain.

These problems can often recur at a later date

once the dog has been exposed to the disease. If

you suspect your dog is infected with Lyme

disease contact your veterinarian for further

tests. The vet will need to do extensive blood

work to determine if your pet has been infected

with Lyme disease. If left untreated, one of the

more serious side effects can be kidney disease

and eventual kidney failure.

Lyme disease in dogs is caused by spirochete

bacteria and can be very difficult to treat in

some cases. Symptoms of Lyme disease often mimic

other health issues. Usually veterinarians will

administer antibiotic as an initial treatment of

Lyme disease. These antibiotics, although helpful

and necessary, can provoke depletion of the

“good” enzymes in your pets system as well as

the bad ones that need to be removed.

Products that regenerate/reproduce/stimulate the

growth of the bodies natural enzymes can aid in

the management and recovery of an infection of

Lyme disease in dogs. After the initial

infection, and of course, the recommended

treatments of your local veterinarian,

all-natural pet health supplements are

recommended in supplementing and enhancing your

pet`s recovery.

Sprouted Granules are proficient in helping the

body to remove toxins. Ox-E-Drops will help to

rebuild and enhance your pet`s immune system,

and Bac~Pak Plus contains the powerful probiotic

enzymes that will assist in rebuilding your pets

healthy digestive function.

For continued support, the use of Antioxidant

Treats are recommended as a daily supplement

that will improve your pet`s resistance to

further illness and especially help with joint

issues that often go along with an infection of

Lyme disease.
